Who is relationship advice expert Guy Blews?

Guy Blews was born and raised in England where he was fed the ‘miseducation’ that unless he was married with children by the time he was thirty there was something profoundly wrong with him and his life…on his subsequent travels, he found that women were also being bombarded and judged if they were not married (or even divorced) in their thirties – on occasion, he was told, “I would rather be married and divorced, than never married at all” – it seemed that people were gripped by this fear (among others) because society is so rigid and judgemental, idealistic and fantastical.

Guy Blews wrote ‘Marriage & How To Avoid It’ partly to express his views and partly to provide people with an alternative option. With its tongue in cheek poke at reality, the book is designed to point out the falsehoods that we see on a daily basis, but which we accept as ‘normal’ – one of the most glaring ones is divorcees encouraging their children to marry, closely followed by divorcees getting re-married…what is wrong with these people??!! It is so non-sensical, and yet so commonplace that it has become completely acceptable – Guy Blews has made it his mission to point out these facts, to offer an alternative, and to keep you on your toes so that you can at least find something real to live by.

Guy Blews has done countless interviews on TV and Radio, and has had to ‘defend’ his position on almost every one of them. He is well versed on his subject and is always prepared to ‘fight his corner’ to defend the reality of the situation and not the fantasy. Each time Guy Blews has walked away with even more strength in his convictions as he sees that nobody else is standing up for the truth when it comes to relationships on all levels, and it is about time that somebody did. Most of the arguments he encounters come from ideas that have been ‘instilled’ in people from childhood and from the outside forces of society, not from logical, informed or realistic decisions made by the individual. Guy Blews wants to break down those barriers and offer something beyond our childhood brainwashing.

Realistic Relationships was born out of the constant quest for answers that Guy Blews is asked to give, and the Realistic Relationship coaching, whether group or individual, is designed to be clear, logical, applicable and enjoyable with the ultimate goal of living with a certain certainty of mind instead of the (all too common) anxiety that seems to grip most important relatonships.

Guy Blews recently started www.SmackTherapy.com as a light-hearted way of making the point that ‘The truth hurts – but it’s still true’.
